Building on the phenomenal success of the 3rd International Open Data Conference held in Ottawa in May 2015, IDRC and the Open Data for Development (OD4D) network are co-hosting the 4th International Open Data Conference – IODC 2016 in Madrid, Spain, with support from Global Affairs Canada and the World Bank.
International Open Data Conferences bring countries from the northern and southern hemispheres together to debate and study the future of open data, and to build stronger relationships among open data initiatives from various governments.
This year’s conference theme, “Global goals, local impact”, will showcase successes, confront shared challenges, and help ensure that the vision for open data and diverse initiatives continues to be coordinated effectively.
